SAMBA, Apr 10: Former Minister and member CWC Gulchain Singh Charak said that Foundation Day of Veer Bhumi Park is being observed at Samba on April 20.
Talking to media-persons here today, Mr Charak said that the occasion is going to be celebrated at Samba on April 20 at 11 am at Veer Bhumi Park. Rich tributes will be paid to the large number of martyrs who laid down their lives for the cause of the country. He disclosed that members of the martyrs’ families will be honoured on the occasion.
Mr Charak, who is president of Dogra Saddar Sabha further said that that heroes, who will be felicitated here are the awardees of Veer Chakra, Shourya Chakra and Mahaveer Chakra. He disclosed that Union Minister for New & Renewable Energy, Dr Farooq Abdullah and former PCC president and Minister for Public Enterprises, Haj and Floriculture, Peerzada Mohd Sayeed will also attend the programme. He appealed the ex-servicemen to attend the function in large number.
