JAMMU, May 23: Pradesh Youth Congress (PYC) president, Uday Chib today expressed his resentment against the J&K Government for not making adequate arrangements for the smooth and safe journey of the migrant workers.
In a statement issued here, he said that some migrant labourers have been sent back to their native states but thousands of labourers especially from the Bihar state were still waiting for their turn. “If the J&K Government is unable to manage their travelling, the Pradesh Youth Congress will bear their travelling expenses,” said Chib.

He said that the J&K Congress under the direction of PCC chief GA Mir had sought permission of 2000 migrant workers with the J&K administration but it’s unfortunate to say that till date nothing has been done in this regard. “The Congress has decided to pay all the expenses of these 2000 migrant workers but due to non-availability of permission the migrant workers are suffering unnecessarily,” he mentioned.
Chib appealed the Lieutenant Governor to make proper arrangements for smooth and safe journey of the migrant workers to their respective states.
Ricky Dalotra, general secretary of PYC was also present in the press conference.
