JAMMU Mar 3: Chander Mohan Sharma, senior BJP leader while complimenting the UT Government for the action taken against deep rooted corruption and land grabbing, illegal encroachment, manipulation of revenue record and favoritism in recruitment in the erstwhile State services which was a long pending demand of the people has urged Anti Corruption Bureau to expedite investigations against corrupt elements and land mafia.
“This became possible only after formation of UT otherwise all these black deeds would have remained unearthed due to shelters provided by the political bigwigs”, Sharma said in a statement issued here, today. Those who criticized UT formation and were demanding immediate restoration of Statehood are knowingly or unknowing playing in the hands of land grabbers, crime mafia, illegal occupants of forest and State lands, a section of corrupt and tainted bureaucracy against whom the noose is being tightened by the investigating agencies”, the statement added.
Sharma, while addressing a meeting of Tawi Andolan activists said that those politicians who were annoyed for framing of criminal charges and removal of their blue eyed boys tainted management of J&K Bank are now questioning scrapping of defective recruitment in the Bank.
He further urged upon premier probe agency i.e. ACB to expedite investigations against corruption, land grabbing and irregularities committed by strong political lobbies during their tenures in Government in the erstwhile State of J&K.
