Auqaf Market Asso apprises Billawaria of problems

JAMMU, Feb 1: Members of the Aquaf Market Association, Gandhi Nagar today apprised Baldev Singh Billawaria, Chairman Public Health Sanitation Committee of Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) of their demands.
The demands were put forth before him at a function organized in the market area. The Association representatives said that due to lack of drainage dirty water enters in the street and cesspools are created there. Due to this the common people are facing problems, they added.
The members of the Association also apprised the Chairman about the street lights. They said that the street lights in the market are less and some lights installed are not properly functioning. Due to lack of proper lighting system, the streets of the market remain dark, they added.
Billawaria who was also honoured by the Association on the occasion complimented it for this gesture. He said he will be grateful always to the members of the Association who have given him love. He assured that the evacuation problem will be resolved. The issue of sewage will also be solved. Regarding the street lights, Billawaria said that there is some problem of street lights and new lights will be installed soon as it has been tendered and in some wards and markets new streets lights have been installed and in other wards it will be done soon.
Local Corporator Ward No. 20 Rahul Kumar, said that “We have launched the development programme of the Ward by taking construction of many works such as lanes and drains in hand.
