MENDHAR, Feb 1 : With the burning of transformers, Ari and Potha villages of Sub Division Mendhar, the area is without power supply for the last about two weeks.
The people of the area who are facing lot of difficulties due suspension of power supply during these days alleged that PDD authorities are unconcerned about the public plight. The locals have repeatedly approached the senior PDD officers at Mendhar and Poonch but the supply could not be restored even after 15 days. The transformer is still lying at the same place and even not removed for repair.
Shams Din, Ayaz Ahmed, Mohammd Taj, three locals said that PDD officials have not given proper attention to their problem and they are being forced to agitate on road.
They appealed to the Chief Engineer PDD Jammu to issue instructions to the concerned officers to replace the burnt transformer.
