KATHUA, Dec 24: The farmers of Dinga Amb, Mangloor held a protest demonstration against the JK Integrated Textile Park owner for not releasing the payment in favour of farmers.
A large number of farmers drawn from Dinga Amb, Mangloor who tried to approach the management of the industry for release of payment but the factory closed its gate and did not allow them to come inside. The farmers Rangeel Singh , Karatar Singh , Krishan Chand, Balak Ram accompanied by a large number of members of the farming community criticized the attitude of industry owner and delaying policy for last two years. They said that more than 30 farmers have sold costly Khairwood to industry on the permit issued by Forest Department. But despite the passing of two years huge payment of sixty to seventy lakh has not been released in favour of farmers.
They said the farmers are living hand to mouth and industry owner making fake promises to release the payment every month. In such way two years have passed and not even paisa was given to them. Even the industry owner is not ready to listen them. They warned to block the Highway and approach to the district administration to release the hard earned money of farmers.
