JAMMU, Dec 12: Motor Parts Dealers Association (MPDA) Transport Nagar Narwal held a meeting under the chairmanship of its President Rajinder P Kakkar.
All the association members unanimously appealed to the Lieutenant Governor J&K GC Murmu for overall developments of Transport Nagar Narwal.
While speaking, Kakkar said that the Transport Nagar is in shambles condition due to damaged lanes and drains, potholes on roads, damaged parapets, non functional street lights, free hold rights to the allotted shopkeepers at minimum charges so that they can obtain financial assistance from bankers and private financial institutions by mortgaging their shops, etc.
He informed that a deputation of the Association has submitted their demands to the then Advisor of then Governor J&K and so many threadbare meetings were held with VC JDA Jammu.
“After discussion, JDA blacktopped only 3 kilometer road against 28 kilometers. The outgoing VC JDA Jammu told our deputation that total Rs 22 crores estimate has been submitted to Government for overall developments of Transport Nagar Narwal Jammu. DO were also send to the concerned authorities like JMC, UEED, PHE and PDD but due to the shortage of funds they are helpless”, Kakkar informed.
He appealed to the LG J&K to visit along with all the concerned authorities to see the condition of the Transport Nagar Narwal.
The meeting was attended Sham Singh Bhai, Jaswinder Singh, Balbir Singh, Raj Pal Verma, Raman Gupta, Sanjay Dogra and Sham Parshad Gupta.
