KATHUA, Dec 10: Wild Life Department captured a leopard alive from Ramkot area.
As per official sources, on the demand of the locals, a team from Wild Life Protection Department led by Ranger Officer Bishamber Singh laid a trap and finally captured the leopard alive from Ramkot area of the district.
The leopard had killed a youth Purshotam Kumar, son of Mohinder Kumar, which has created a fear fiasco among the locals.
With the capturing of the leopard, the locals will now have some sigh of relief.
Ranger Officer Bishamber Singh informed that Rs 3 lakh compensation was given to the father of Purshotam Kumar, who was killed in man-animal conflict.
