REASI, Nov 13: Police Sub-Division Arnas arrested two drug peddlers and seized 800 grams dried poppy straw from their possession.
SDPO Arnas Dr Satish Bhardwaj, while on routine checking in the late evening, found a Maruti Suzuki Celerio, bearing number JK02BM- 6100, which was parked near Plots Arnas with two persons sitting inside under suspicious conditions.
On checking, a white plastic bag with approximately 800 gm dried poppy straw and one digital weighing machine were found lying on the back seat. On preliminary enquiry, the accused disclosed their names as Ravinder Kumar son of Lt Chuni Lal of Arnas and Kuldeep Singh, son of Baldev Singh of Dharan A/P Arnas.
In this regard, case FIR number 98/2019, under section 8/15 NDPS Act was registered at Police Station Arnas.
