Cong turns anti- backward classes: AIBUC

Excelsior Correspondent

JAMMU, Nov 12: All India Backward Classes Union (AIBUC) has alleged that Congress Party has turned anti-backward classes.
In a meeting of the AIBUC members held here today under the chairmanship, provincial president, SC Verma, the members expressed serious concern over the recent developments in Congress Party. They pointed out that about an year ago, some AIBCU office bearers met the J&K State OBC coordinator Sanjay Parmar and put forth the most genuine demand to relook into the appointments of district presidents in Congress party as not even a single OBC district president has been appointed out of twenty districts.
Mr Parmar assured for the same but instead of taking correcting measures, he held a press conference very recently in Jammu without the knowledge of the state Chairman of OBC Department Suresh Kumar Dogra. None of the Union member did appear in the press conference and the persons who accompanied Parmar were not the official members of Congress. This all indicated that there are fissures in Congress party which has ultimately become a Sabha only, they alleged.
They alleged even state coordinator failed to explain to the media-persons about full form of the organization. This is the mockery not only on the part of Congress but the whole OBC community and the organization. The Congress in fact never cared about this community but ignored them ( OBCs) through its slogan of false secularism.
Congress party has become an anti- OBC party which only wants OBC votes and not the voters. State OBCs have decided to sway away from such political parties in future.
Prominent among others from AIBUC present in the meeting included, Darshan Mehra, Anchal Singh, Gurmeet Singh, Amarik Singh, Najam-ud- Din, Mohd Akabar Teli, MR Bangotra and Kali Dass.
