DC Kishtwar reviews functioning of Revenue Deptt

KISHTWAR, Nov 4: Deputy Commissioner, Kishtwar, Angrez Singh Rana today reviewed the functioning of Revenue Department at a meeting held here.
The matter related to the progress /writing of Jamabandis, attestation of mutations, progress on eviction of encroachments from State/Kahcharai/Common land/forest lands, maintenance of Record & Page marking of Revenue Record for digitlization /scanning /Page marking etc. were discussed in detail.
ADDC Kishtwar Mohammad Hanief Malik, All Tehsildars, Naib Tehsildars attended the meeting.
Nodal Officer, DILRMP Kishtwar (Tehsildar) Irshad Ahmed Butt informed about the progress achieved on the digitization of record till date.
The DC Kishtwar directed the concerned officer to speed up the pace of scanning work so that the set target is achieved within the stipulated time. He fixed 10 days deadline for attestation of pending mutations and completing the pending jamabandis by or before November 30, 2019.
Regarding submission of village diaries (containing the gist of village) the DC directed the concerned officers to submit the same as per prescribed format within two days positively.
While reviewing the progress on the removal of encroachments on State/Kahcharie/common land/forest land, the DC exhorted upon the concerned officers to keep strict vigil to prevent encroachment on highways and other roads in and around the town and speed up anti-encroachment drives.
Meanwhile, District Development Commissioner also reviewed the performance of assessment of crop loss in the district at a separate meeting of District Consultative Committee (DCC).
A threadbare discussion was held about the issue of crop loss due to natural and other factors in districts.
It was informed against average 35% crop loss, horticulture sector has suffered 19% in district and the main reason is drought and other disturbing factors.
The DDC directed the concerned officers to submit block wise detail/list to LDM Kishtwar regarding current losses in crops and horticulture sector so that the same could be forwarded to higher authorities for further course of action.
