JAMMU, Aug 27: Former Minister and Ex-MLA Jammu West, Sat Sharma (CA) visited Surya Nagar area of Ward 30 and started construction works of lane and drain in the area. He was also accompanied by a large number of people including Corporator Ward 30, Sonika Sharma, district president, Ayodhya Gupta, Chairman SJC and Corporator, Jeet Angral, Corporator Ward 32, Sat Pal Karlupia, district president, Mahila Morcha, Veena Gupta, Jammu Municipal Corporation, (JMC) officials, local residents and political activists of the area.
The works will be constructed under the supervision of JMC at an estimated cost of Rs 7.72 lakh and the funds were sanctioned from the Constituency Development Fund ( CDF) of former MLA which was sanctioned during his tenure and its work was delayed due to Code of Conduct of elections and other reasons, but the work was taken up as soon as the process got cleared.
Speaking on the occasion, Sat Sharma said that a long pending demand of residents of Surya Vihar has been met which was pending from months and the construction of same will benefit the locals as a good infrastructure will be provided to the inhabitants of the area. Sharma also appealed the masses to contribute some of their time for keeping their localities clean and green so that our hard working PM, Narendra Modi’s “Swach Bharat Mission ” would be a real success and it can only be achieved if we all contribute something for it. He also asked JMC officials to maintain quality of work in the area.
Sonika Sharma complimented the pro active approach of Former MLA and stated that Ward 30 has been equipped with all modern infra and that is with the help of former MLA who is still working 24X7 in order to provide best possible services to masses.
Ayodhya and Jeet stated that Jammu West has been developed to its fullest and pending works will also be taken in some time to avoid public distress. The pace of development in Jammu West shows that constituency progressed a lot in last five years and has reached to the mark of a Model Constituency.
Sharma along with the BJP corporators, leaders and locals also toured other adjoining areas in the Ward as well and asked the concerned officials to prepare the estimates for pending works in the area so that their works can also be taken up soon in order to avoid public distress.
