JAMMU, July 12: District Institute of Education and Trainings (DIET) Jammu organized a subject specific training programme for elementary teachers in collaboration with Directorate of SAMAGRA Shiksha J&K, in five phases.
In these five phases, Subject Science, English Mathematics, Social Science and Hindi were covered. From the 15 Zones of district Jammu, 1000 teachers participated in five subjects.
The main focus of the training programme was to improve the transactional strategy and pedagogical skills of the teacher teaching at the Elementary level. The venues of the training programmes were GBHSS Akhnoor, GGHSS Akhnoor, GBHSS Bakshi Nagar, GGHSS Domana, GBHSS Gandhi Nagar, GMMS Satwari, GGHSS Miran Sahib, GHSS Domana and GGHSS Bishnah.
While monitoring the training programme, the Principal DIET Jammu, Roshan Lal stressed upon the participants to carry forward the techniques and skills learned in the training programme to their actual classroom situation, so that the students will be benefited. HoDs Tripta Manyal, Kamla Devi, Sanjay Chandel, Namrata Khajuria, Poonam Sharma, Nighat Parveen and Hushyar Singh were the coordinators in different venues.
