JAMMU, July 8: Inner Wheel Club Jammu Tawi (District 307) framed one more club in Jammu.
The inaugural meet and induction of members was held in the presence of District Chairman Anita Bhalla who was the chief guest of the event, while PDC Dr Santosh Gupta was the presiding dignitary.
Eminent educationist and social activist of the State Pooja Malhotra has been appointed as the Charter President, while Preeti Gandohk as Vice President, Daljeet Kaur as Secretary, Radhika Sharma as Treasurer, ISO Paramjeet Kaur and Project coordinator Meena Jaggi.
On the 1st meeting of IWC Jammu Tawi performed three main projects by contributing need based items for the R-I mentally retarded Home Channi, need based items were also handed over to the concerned faculty of SOS home for nearly 55 girls. Financial support has been extended in the form of cheque for education and upkeep of differently abled children. The cheque was handed over to the President of Sahyog India Esther William.
District Chairman Anita Bhalla in her address informed that Inner Wheel is the World’s largest self-funded woman organization which works with the objective to promote true friendship, promote idea of personal service and to foster international understanding. She congratulated the new Team and encouraged them to work for bringing miracles in the lives of the needful members of the society.
Pooja Malhotra in her speech assured the prestigious organization to contribute whole-heartedly and to justify the theme of 2019-20 given by the Chairman of International Inner Wheel “Together We Can”. She also added in her speech that serving the needful is considered as an essential devotional practice of indirectly serving God.
The programme was followed by induction and formal introduction of 38 members who are from different walks of life e.g educationists, engineers, entrepreneurs, home makers and social activists.
The event was anchored by Meenakshi Gupta and master of the ceremony was Meena Jaggi.
