UDHAMPUR, May 9: In a tragic incident, two youth drowned while taking bath along with their friends in Birmah Nullah near Birmah bridge, here today.
Identity of the drowned youth was established as Rohit (22), son of Kannu, and Suraj (20) son of Rajesh, both residents of Kaddi, district Ahmedabad in Gujarat, presently putting up at Adarsh Colony, Bus Stand, Udhampur.
The mishap took place when the deceased along with their three other friends were taking bath in the Birmah Nallah for beating the heat this afternoon around 2.15.
Bodies of the deceased were fished out by a Police party, assisted by SDRF, and then shifted to District Hospital Udhampur for postmortem and other legal formalities. A case has also been registered in this connection for further investigation.
