SAMBA, Feb 21: Samba police arrested one person and recovered one kilogram of poppy straw from his possession here, today.
According to the police, a team of District Special Branch (DSB) along with police held a nakka on Jammu -Pathankot National Highway at Samba. During the nakka checking police intercepted a truck bearing Registration No JK21D- 9565 which was coming from Jammu side. While checking, police recovered one kilogram of poppy straw from the truck and arrested the driver namely Rajinder Kumar, son of Om Parkash, resident of Sinki Pangdour, Samba on spot. The police recovered the contraband items from his possession and also seized the truck.
In this regard a case FIR No 34/19 u/s 8/15 NDPS has been registered against the driver of the truck at PS Samba.
