JAMMU, Jan 16: Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) today produced challan against the then MPW, Nazir Ahmad Bhat posted at Block Development Office Shopian, before the Court of Additional and Sessions Judge Anti-Corruption Court Anantnag U/S 5 (1) (d) r/w 5(2) r/w and section 4-A of J&K PC Act 2006.
As per the case, Imtiyaz Ahmad had alleged that for allotment of latrine point under Swatch Bharat Mission Scheme, the MPW had demanded Rs. 2000 from him.
However, before paying the bribe Imtiyaz approached the Vigilance Organization Kashmir (now ACB Kashmir).
A trap team of ACB laid a successful trap and held Nazir Ahmad red handed demanding and accepting bribe of Rs 2000 from the complainant and investigation of the case was taken up.
After conclusion of the investigation, the challan of the case was produced before the Court for Judicial determination.
