Srinagar, Jan 23: Around 30 employees of State Pollution Control Board are moving from pillar to post seek regularization of their services for the last 16 years.
This is despite the fact that Chairman, SPCB, Lal Chand can regularize the services of the employees if he is satisfied that there is nothing adverse against them. Appointed in 1997 on various posts 26 employees have pinned their hopes about their regularization on the board meeting of the SPCB scheduled to be held on January 28, at Jammu.
“The Board of Directors of State Pollution Control Board has their own powers under SRO 88-89 and SRO 402 dated December 2, 2003. As a virtue of this the directors as well as the chairman are fully authorized to appoint people and regularize services of adhoc employees,” said a group of adhoc employees while sharing their views with Excelsior.
Meanwhile, talking to Excelsior, Lal Chand, Chairman SPCB said that the process of regularization has already been set into motion. The chairman said that the board had sought some clarification on service particulars of the adhoc employees and same have been received.
“We have submitted the clarification to the General Administration Department and the process of regularization is on. We are on the job and it may take some time before the process is culminated,” said the chairman.
