JAMMU, Nov 22: KK Gandhi, renowned artist of the State participated in Lagoon and Canvasses International Art Symposium held at Bangaram Island Resort of Lakshadweep.
It was like a festival organized by Department of Art & Culture and Lakshadweep Kala Academy in which 20 eminent artists from different parts of the Country and Bangladesh participated.
Farooq Khan, Administrator, Union Territory of Lakshadweep, was the chief guest and initiator of this eventful and adventures journey of art. It was five-day event, which was coordinated by Art Initiative-an all India organization promoting the different art forms.
On concluding day of the symposium, exhibition of paintings created during the event was held during which the chief guest, Farooq Khan, eulogized the role of KK Gandhi, who not only did entire exercise of organizing the international symposium but also curetted the excellence of the art work.
The artists who participated in the Symposium were Vidya Sagar Upadhya (Jaipur), Kusum Bobby Sharma (Bhopal), Yusuf and Tabassum Yusuf (Patna), Manas Ranjan Jena (Bhuvneshwar), Pradosh Swain (New Delhi), Vimmi Indira (New Delhi), Anup Chand (New Delhi), Poonam Chandrika Tyagi (New Delhi), Mehmooda Assafra (Bangladesh), Ismail Mim (Bangladesh), MK Muttu (Lakshadweep), Mahesh Sharma (Jammu), Madan Lal (Chandigarh) and KK Gandhi (Jammu).
