JAMMU, Nov 19: The 549th Parkash Purab of Shri Guru Nanka Dev Ji is being celebrated on November 23 at Gurdwara Guru Nanak Dev ji, Chand Nagar in Jammu.
DGPC Jammu president, Jagjit Singh and general secretary, Fateh Singh while talking to media persons here today disclosed that in connection with the celebrations, Nagar Kirtan will be started from Chand Nagar Gurdwara on November 21 at 10 am. Various Ragi Jathas, religious preachers and poets are participating in the programme.
The District Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee leaders further appealed to the general public and Sikh community in particular to participate in this grand function and Nagar Kirtan to mark the Parkash Utsav of Guru Nanak Dev Ji Maharaj. They said the students from various schools and Sikh youth displaying martial acts would also be participating in large number. They also appealed to the District Administration to provide every possible assistance to the DGPC for this grand religious programme.
Several other senior members, Harjinder Singh Raina, Kuldip Singh, Darbinder Singh, Mohinder Singh, Ramneek Singh, Manjit Singh and Kulwant Singh also accompanied.
