Police fails to crack Kathua highway robbery

JAMMU, Nov 9: Police has failed to nab the culprits behind the loot of rupees one crore in the highway robbery at Kathua as there is no breakthrough in the case which took place last month.
“No arrest has been made yet but investigations into the case are going on in proper way,” SSP Kathua, Shridhar Patel informed over phone.
He also said that leads into the case have been gathered and investigations are proceeding on the basis of these leads.
It is pertinent to mention here that three armed robbers travelling in a car looted rupees one crore from a Delhi bound truck on Oct 27, 2018 during wee hours.
The incident took place at Barwal Morh on Jammu-Kathua National Highway and the money was kept in the truck.
The truck belonged to an industry located at Bari Brahmna.
The driver and the general manager of the firm, who were carrying the cash for its ally firm in Delhi were also threatened.
Kathua police had registered a case under Sections 341, 382 and 3/25 of the Arms Act.
