Army organises veterinary, rural development camp

RAJOURI, Oct 28: In close coordination with several civil departments, army’s advanced field veterinary hospital Rajouri under the aegis of Ace of Spades Division today organised a mega veterinary -cum- rural development camp in Mubarakh Pura village of Rajouri.
In this camp, 337 farmers and their families got registered and 4000 around of their livestock examined by a team of medical experts.
For the camp, besides veterinary experts of army, a special team of experts from Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agriculture Sciences and Technology Jammu including Dr. Rajinder Bhardawaj, Dr. Pankaj Gupta, Dr. AK Panday along with four veterinary students and attendants also took part.
Livestock of local people were medically examined in the camp and free medicines were distributed for them with several surgeries of animals were also conducted in the camp.
A number of other departments and agencies including Krishi Vigyaan Kendra, Animal Husbandry Department, Sheep Husbandry Department, Agriculture Department, Horticulture Department, Fisheries and State Bank of India (Life) also installed their stalls in this camp and made people aware about different services of Government for the benefit of farmers.
