POONCH, Oct 21: A retired Police Head Constable was died during group clash over land dispute in Surankote area today.
The deceased has been identified as Mohd Latief, son of Sadr Din, resident of Hari Jabbar. He had dispute over 25 kanal of land at the village with his brother Mohd Rafiq. A Patwari had come there for land measurement and settle the dispute.
During measurement over a petty issue, there was clash between cousins – Hassan Din and Mohd Latief. During scuffle Mohd Latief fell down on the ground and turned unconscious. He was rushed to hospital at Surankote where doctors declared him as dead. SHO Surankote, Som Raj said that an FIR has been registered in this connection and investigation started.
