JAMMU, Oct 21: The helper of a trailer was killed while driver sustained serious injuries when the vehicle turned turtle at Jhajjar Kotli.
The mishap occurred today at about 1.30 AM near Jhajjar Kotli bridge. In the mishap, both driver and helper of the vehicle received serious injuries. They were rushed to Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu, where the helper, who has been identified as Baljeet Singh son of Jasbir Singh of Gurdaspur (Punjab), was declared as brought dead by the doctors. However, the driver namely Talvinder Singh of Gurdaspur was responding to the treatment.
After postmortem, the body of the deceased was handed over to his legal heirs for last rites while a case in this connection was registered at police station Jhajjar Kotli and investigations started.
