JAMMU, Oct 16: Continuing its endeavour to thwart the evil designs of the bovine smugglers, district police Samba under the overall supervision of Dr. Koshal Sharma, SSP Samba, foiled a bovine smuggling bid and rescued 10 bovines.
A police party of P/S Samba headed by Inspector Chanchal Singh, SHO Samba and under the close supervision of Deepak Digra, Dy.SP Hqrs Samba, during surprise Naka checking at NHW Mansar Morh, Samba signaled a truck bearing Registration No. JK02AE- 4925, which was coming from Kathua side to stop. During checking of the vehicle, 10 bovines were found laden inside the vehicle which, were being transported illegally without any permission.
The vehicle was seized on spot and all the bovines were rescued. In this regard, a case FIR No. 275/2018 U/S 188 RPC, 2/3 PCA Act, stands registered at P/S Samba.
