JAMMU, Sept 9: Bishnah police arrested a woman and recovered 8 litres of illicit liquor from his possession.
As per police sources, on reliable information, a team from Bishnah Police Station laid a naka near village Majua Uttami and intercepted a woman, who was moving under suspicious circumstances.
During checking, police recovered 8 litres of illicit liquor from the possession of the woman and arrested her.
The arrested lady has been identified as Shardha Devi, wife of Tilak Raj, a resident of village Majua Uttami.
A case under FIR Number 170/18 under Section 48-A Excise Act has been registered at Bishnah Police Station and investigation started.
Police team led by SHO Bishnah Inspector Rajesh Sharma made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO RS Pura Sourabh Prashar, SP Headquarters Jammu RC Kotwal and SSP Jammu Vivek Gupta.
