UDHAMPUR, Sept 9: A meeting of Village Level Workers (VLWs) Association was held here today under the chairmanship of Association president, Anurudh Singh.
Speakers in the meeting discussed their demands of creation of post of Panchayat Inspector in 177 CD Blocks and enhancement of initial grade pay of VLWs from Rs. 1,900 to Rs. 2,400.
They also expressed concern over the Departmental Promotion Committee which is pending since 2009.
Association president asked the State Government that without Panchayat inspector Panchayat election will not be easy.
Dutta Ram, Som Singh, Ram Murti, Bishan Singh, Sham Swaroop, Ranjay Gupta and Ramanjeet Singh were present in the meeting.
