JAMMU, Dec 27: Ramban police today busted a hideout of the militants at village Pulsar in Bhimdassa area under the jurisdiction of Gool police station and recovered a consignment of arms and ammunition.
Recoveries were made some distance away from the house of slain militant Ghulam Qadir alias Tohid-ul-Islam, who was killed by Ramban police on May 25 this year. The consignment had been concealed in a forest and was dug out by the cops on the basis of a specific information.
Recoveries included one Pika gun, one RPG launcher, four UBGL grenades, 235 Pika rounds, 267 AK rounds, 7.62mm LMG rounds (246 in numbers), 790 Pika rounds and some other material.
Police have been conducting searches in the area under the supervision of SSP Ramban Anil Magotra and DySP (Operations) Gool, Deepak Digra.
