JAMMU, July 24: Expressing serious concern over the attack on minorities, some leaders from these minorities have urged upon the Prime Minister to take affective measures to stop such incidents in the country.
Addressing a joint press conference here today, leaders of various organizations including Mohd Jasrath State Coordinator Rashtriya Muslim Morcha BAMCEF, Maulana Mohd Ajmal Choudhary president Rashtriya Mulsim Morcha BAMCEF , Maulana Sayed Ahmed Choudhary Distt president RMM, Ch Mohd Hanief president Bahujan Mukti Party, Ashok Basotra president Social National Party, S Surinder Singh, Amarjeet Singh- president Awami Itihad Party, Peter Mattoo and others expressed their serious concern over increasing attacks on the minorities and Dalits for the last few years in the country.
While referring to the incidents of Hapur in UP, Alwar in Harayana, Patna and Ahmedabad, these leaders alleged that with the BJP coming to power in the country the atrocities on the minorities and Dalits have increased. They target RSS and other organizations and alleged that Prime Minister Modi should ensure safety of the minorities. They alleged that minorities were feeling insure under Modi Govt and BJP led NDA Government must take effective measures to curb such incidents.
Ashok Basotra referred to the incident of Bagvadar near Porbandar, where a Dalit was beaten to death, lynching of a Muslim by mob over an issue of cow, killing of 21 -year-old youth in Anand district of Gujarat. He demanded that BJP Government has been ignoring the minorities and Dalits in the country and their reservation was being diluted.
