Sadhu among 2 killed in mishap

DODA, July 13: Two persons including a Sadhu were killed, when the Tata Mobile they were traveling in, skidded off the road and plunged into gorge at Marsoo area on Batote-Doda highway.
The ill-fated vehicle bearing registration number JK17-5813 carrying goods for jagran was on its way to Kishtwar from Jammu, when the driver lost control over the vehicle and it rolled down into gorge at Marsoo area on Batote-Doda highway, resulting into on the spot death of one person and serious injuries to another, who happens to be a Sadhu.
After getting information, a team from Police Station Assar rushed to the spot and rescued the injured Sadhu with the help of locals.
The critically injured Sadhu was rushed to Primary Health Centre (PHC) at Assar from where he was later referred to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) Jammu, but he breathed his last near Batote area of district Ramban.
The deceased have been identified as Jai Singh (driver), son of Luba Ram of district Kishtwar and Swami Raj Anand (Sadhu).
A case under FIR Number 11/18 under relevant Sections has been registered at Assar Police Station and investigation started.
