History sheeter stabbed

JAMMU, May 29: A history sheeter was today stabbed brutally by some of his rivals in RS Pura area of city outskirts.
According to a police official, Avneet Singh (19) alias Nagi son of Vikram Singh, resident of Sunderpur (RS Pura), who is a history sheeter in police station RS Pura, was attacked with sharp edged weapons (khokris) by five to six unknown miscreants in Dablehar area of RS Pura.
Quoting eye witnesses, the official said that the victim was travelling on a scooter with two of his friends, when some five to six miscreants came on motorcycles, stopped his way and attacked him several times with sharp edged weapons.
He said the blood ridden Avneet was immediately taken to SDH RS Pura but in view of his serious condition, he was referred to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), Jammu. According to the official, late in the evening, family members of the victim took him to a private hospital in Ludhiana after getting him discharged on request from GMCH Jammu.
“In this connection, a case FIR No 67/2018 under relevant sections has been registered at police station RS Pura and efforts are on to nab the accused, who is on large”, the official added.
