DODA, May 26: Bhalra police arrested a shopkeeper and recovered illicit liquor pouches from his possession.
As per police sources, on specific information, a team from Bhalra Police Post laid a naka at Ghati Morh and intercepted a shopkeeper, who used to run his shop at Seri.
During checking, police recovered 51 pouches of illicit liquor from the possession of the shopkeeper and arrested him.
The arrested person has been identified as Chain Singh, son of Daya Krishan, a resident of Chakrana.
A case under FIR Number 74/18 under Section 48-A Excise Act has been registered at Police Station Bhaderwah and investigation started.
Police team led by Incharge Bhalra Police Post ASI Balwant Singh made the arrest under the supervision of SHO Bhaderwah Inspector Muneer Khan, SDPO Bhaderwah Brijesh Sharma, Additional SP Bhaderwah Rajinder Singh and SSP Doda Mohammad Shabir.
