JAMMU, Mar 21: Jammu & Kashmir State Road Transport Corporation, on the persistent demand made by the Jammu Yatri Bhawan Trust, has launched the new Air Conditioned Volvo bus service from Jammu to Haridwar for the devotees visiting the holy place of Haridwar. This Air conditioned bus is being pressed into service from Friday, 23rd March, 2018. The new bus service is in addition to JKSRTC bus services already running daily between Jammu to Haridwar, said Pawan Kumar Shastri, president Jammu Yatri Bhawan Trust, while addressing a press conference, here today.
The AC Volvo bus will be leaving from Jammu bus stand on Friday, the 23rd March, 2018 between 5 to 5.30 PM and shall reach Haridwar on Saturday 24th March, 2018 (morning hours). Similarly, it will leave Haridwar from Jammu Yatri Bhawan Premises in the late evening to reach Jammu on next morning. This will also facilitate those who go to Haridwar for performing last rites of their ancestors. For the convenience of the visiting yatries, this regular bus shall directly reach to Jammu Yatri Bhawan Trust Haridwar enrouting the Haridwar Bus Stand.
Pawan Shastri informed that the yatries can have their ticket booking to Haridwar from SRTC office and Jammu Yatri Bhawan Trust office Jammu / Haridwar.
Others, who were present in the press conference, included Kiran Wattal, (Convener Vishwa Kashmiri Pandit Samaj), Gurdas Sharma (general secretary Jammu Yatri Bhawan Trust) and Jatinder Aggarwal (Trustee Jammu Yatri Bhawan Trust).
