SRINAGAR, Feb 1: Police arrested a drug peddler with contraband substance in Sumbal area of Bandipora district today.
A police spokesman said Sumbal police under the supervision of SDPO Sumbal Sheikh Tahir Amin accompanied by SHO Sumbal Parvaiz Ahmed placed a Naka at Rakh Asham and intercepted a vehicle.
“During the checking, 700 grams of charas (powder) was recovered from the possession of the driver namely Abdul Hamid, a resident of Markundal Sumbal,” he said
A Case with FIR No. 15/2018 was registered and investigations taken up.
