JAMMU, Nov 29: City police today achieved a major success by arresting three persons with 1.5 kg of charas.
“During routine naka checking at Vivekanand Chowk, one Alto car bearing registration number JK05F 7511 was stopped in which three persons were onboard” a police official said, adding, on their checking around 1.5 kg of charas was recovered from their possession.
He said that the accused were identified as Abdul Hamid son of Abdul Rashid of Noorpura Slambad, tehsil Uri of district Baramula, Mohd Arif Khan son of Azad Khan of Paranpilan of tehsil Uri and Yasir Ahmed Khan, son of Shakil Ahmed Khan, resident of Paranpilan, tehsil Uri, district Baramula.
In this connection, a case FIR No 63/2017 under Section 8/20/21 NDPS Act was registered at police station, City Jammu. The arrest was made by SI Ranjeet Sigh Rao, Incharge, police post, Hari Market and Inspector Vishal Sharma, SHO, police station City, under the close supervision of SDPO City North Jammu, Varun Jandial and Vinay Kumar, Incharge, SP City North, Jammu.
