POONCH, Nov 26: Shamsher Hakla Poonchi prominent Gujjar leader and intellectual of the State urged the Prime Minister to bring about a solution of Kashmir tangle. So that an early and lasting peace in the J&K State be restored and thereby continued militancy in the J&K State might be brought to an end.
Hakla has appealed to the Prime-Minister that while initiating any step for solution of Kashmir problems, Gujjar Bakerwal community must be included in the dialogue process.
Hakla said, excluding Ladakh and Kargil district the Gujjar and Bakerwal community resides in 20 districts of the State. Gujjars and Bakarwals mostly reside in far flung, hilly mountainous area near the forest and on the LoC. The problems and needs of Gujjar Bakerwals are quite different from other communities of the State besides their language and culture is also different from those of other communities of State, he added.
