Charak Biradari demands holiday on Maharaja’s B’day

JAMMU, Sept 11:   Charak Biradari has demanded gazetted holiday on the birthday of Maharaja Hari Singh.
In a meeting of the Biradari held at Greater  Kailash,  under the leadership of its president,  Rajeev Charak, the members unanimously demanded declaration of holiday on the birthday of  Maharaja Hari Singh.
While speaking, Charak said that State Government should  honour the resolution adopted by the Legislative Council on January 24 this year, regarding the declaration of September 23 as a state holiday. He added that if former Chief Minister Sheikh Abdullah’s birthday could be observed as a state holiday then why not Maharaja Hari Singh’s birth anniversary could be observed.
Prominent among those who were present during meeting included Rakesh Charak, Jagdev Charak,  Swaran Singh, Sukhdev Singh, Dr GS Charak, Daljeet Singh, Jasbir Charak, Azmair Charak, Surjit Charak, Ajeet Charak and  Narain Charak.
