JAMMU, Sept 11: High Court today stayed the order whereby a Forest Guard has been posted as Block Officer and issued notice to the respondents.
The stay was granted in a petition filed by a Forester Ishtiaq Ahmed Mir and after hearing Advocate Zahir Sarfraz Malik for the petitioner, Justice Janak Raj Kotwal sought to know how the Forest Guard has been posted against the higher post of Block Officer.
According to the petitioner, the respondent in order to accommodate one of his blue eyed namely Haji Nissar Hussain, who is simply a Forest Guard, passed the order impugned transferring the petitioner and adjusting Haji Nissar Hussain two steps ahead as Block Forest Officer Thanamandi.
“The transfer has not been done in the interest of administration or in the public interest but with malafide intentions to adjust the blue eyed on a post for which he is not eligible”, the petitioner submitted.
