Prof Gupta accuses NC, Cong of communalising situation in State

Excelsior Correspondent

JAMMU, Sept 6: The former Union Minister, Prof. Chaman Lal Gupta has charged the leadership of National Conference (NC) and their likes in the Congress of trying to communalize the situation in the State, especially in the troubled Valley of Kashmir and the sensitive areas of Jammu region.
Commenting on the recent statements and also their controversial utterances in course of their tours of the most sensitive areas of Poonch-Rajouri bordering Pakistan occupied Kashmir (PoK), Prof. Gupta impressed upon the law and order authorities to take note of such activities and also had a look into the intentions behind such outbursts.
He said it sounds strange that on one hand the issue of Article 370 and that of 35-A is being raked up to what is called for protecting the identity of the State and check the entry of outsiders viz. other Indians, at the same time canards are being spread to justify the entry and stay of Rohingya Muslims and Bangladeshies in some areas.
Prof. Gupta said that such a dubious move clearly indicates that NC and their associates in the erstwhile coalition were behind the infiltration of these foreigners who had entered the State during the past six/seven years, when N C  and Congress coalition was in authority.
All this seems to be a very serious matter and needs not only the deep probing but also legal action against collaborators to bring and arrange their stay in the sensitive areas of Jammu as also the sources of their funding.
Prof. Gupta ridiculed the demand for convening a special session of the State Legislature to discuss the matter which is before the court.  He alleged that some controversial characters had developed the habit to create fuss when out of power ignoring all the norms and decency.
