KISHTWAR, Aug 2: A residential building was partly damaged in a mysterious fire incident that occurred today in Padder area.
According to the reports, third floor of the house of Ranjeet Singh son of Rangail Singh of Atholi (Padder) damaged and household items gutted when a mysterious fire broke out late this evening.
However, timely action by fire services, police, army and locals averted a major tragedy as the building was located in the heart of densely populated Atholi village.
According to SSP Kishtwar, Sandeep Wazir, there is no loss of life in the mishap while the exact loss of property is being assessed. He said that cause of fire is still not known and a probe is on to ascertain it.
