JAMMU, Aug 2: A joint deputation of Durga Nagar Welfare Committee headed by Roshan Lal Raina its president and All India Kashmiri United Forum (AIKUF) headed by D N Kissu its chairman called on Relief and Rehabilitation Commissioner, Manohar Lal Raina and presented a memorandum to him highlighting the demands of the people of Durga Nagar today.
The delegation demanded that the relief assistance be paid to relief holders in the first week of every month, ration including rice, flour and sugar be also provided monthly and the ration for the month of July be released immediately, quarters be allotted to deserving migrants living on rented basis, immediate steps be taken in completing the pending cases of bifurcation of ration cards as some cases are pending though the all formalities have been completed by the applicants who have applied for bifurcation of their cases and the ration be also provided to Government employees and pensioners as per the previous procedure.
The Relief and Rehabilitation Commissioner assured the delegation that the problems will be looked into sympathetically.
The other members of the delegation were Nana Ji, Mohan Lal Pandita, C L Zuthsi, Behari Lal and Bushan Lal Pandita.
