JAMMU, July 18: Two persons were arrested today with poppy straw (bhuki) by Gangyal police.
“Acting on specific information, Gangyal police laid a surprised naka at Kunjwani Chowk and intercepted two pedestrian”, a police spokesman said, adding on search of their belongings 12 kg poppy straw (bukhi) recovered from their possession.
He said in this regard, a case under relevant sections of law was registered at police station Gangyal and further investigation of the case was going on. The arrest and recovery was made by SI Nayat Ali, SHO, police station Gangyal, under the supervision of SDPO City South, Rafiq Manhas and SP City South, Sandeep Choudhary.
