JAMMU, July 5: Outplaying their rivals convincingly in their respective matches, Vijay Cricket Club and Youngster Cricket Club Nagrota entered the next round of the ongoing 5th Maharaja Hari Singh Memorial Cricket Tournament, being played at MHAC School ground Nagbani, here.
In the first match, Vijay Cricket Club defeated Bawa Jitto Cricket Club by a big margin of 54 runs.
Batting first, Vijay Club scored 108 runs. Satish played an unbeaten innings of 55 runs, while Manjeet Singh contributed 36 runs to the total. From Bawa Jitto Club, Bawa took 3 important wickets.
In reply, Bawa Jitto Cricket Club collapsed at 55 runs, thus lost the match by 54 runs. Satish was adjudged as man of the match for his brilliant all-round display.
In another match, Youngster Cricket Club defeated Sunny Cricket Club by 49 runs. Youngster Cricket Club scored 128 runs, while Sunny Cricket Club bundled out for 72 runs. Nijju was declared as man of the match for scoring 25 runs and taking 3 wickets.
The matches were officiated by Sunny Sharma, Lovely and Karamvir Singh.
