Sanskar, Confederation to intensify campaign against drug trafficking

JAMMU, June 28: To intensify its campaign against the drug abuse Sanskar Organis-ation organized a debate here in which the members of various NGOs participated.
The president of the Sanskar Organization H N Tickoo and advisor of the Confederation  of NGOs while opening the debate impressed upon the participants the nuisance of drug addiction which has captured large number of people especially youth mostly from Education Sector will spoil the society if steps are not taken to save the youth from falling a prey to drugs.
The nuisance has captured lot of students from schools, colleges and universities all over the country, more so from J&K, he added.
Tiku said the drug trafficking has captured the J&K youth due to the grace of militancy created and persuaded by Pakistan. Drug business is flourishing in Pakistan including occupied Kashmir as drug trafficking is great business in Pakistan.
He said drugs have even covered Punjab via border and have spoiled the youth of that State too. Moreover it ahs been learnt that drugs are sold on footpaths and near education institutions in Jammu too so police should maintain a constant vigil, he added.
During the debate it was decided that Sanskar and Confederation of NGOs will intensify its anti drug campaign by holding seminars in schools and colleges.
