DODA, Oct 25: Pensioners Association today held a meeting under the chairmanship of its president Akhter Hussain, in which various issues pertaining to the pensioners were discussed.
While speaking, Akhter Hussain demanded 12 subsidized LPG cylinders, enhancement of medical allowances to Rs 1,000, release of DA, merger of 50 per cent DA into basic pension as per central pattern and payment of 6th Pay Commission arrears in two installments.
Among others present were Shakeel Ahmed Dev, Dharam Singh Charak, Abdul Rehman Gattu, Munshi Ram, Akhter Hussain Nehru, Gul Mohd Thakur and Ghulam Hassan Pampori.
