JAMMU, June 21: Police arrested two truckers along with 25 kilograms of poppy straw.
As per police sources, on specific information, a police team laid a naka near Kullian and intercepted two trucks bearing numbers JK02AB-7055 and JK21A-1035.
During checking, police recovered 25 kilograms of poppy straw from the vehicles and arrested the truck drivers, who have been identified as Harminder Singh alias Sheru, son of Harbans Singh of Tekri Simbal Camp and Kulbir Singh, son of Amrik Singh of Narwal Bye Pass.
A case under FIR Number 89/17 under Section 8/15 NDPS Act has been registered against them and investigation started.
Police team led by SDPO RS Pura Surinder Choudhary and assisted by Incharge SHO Miran Sahib SI Kamal Singh and Incharge Kullian police post ASI Yougal made the arrest under the supervision of SP Headquarters Jammu RC Kotwal.
