JAMMU, June 20: A man was today found dead on the roof top of his in-laws’ house in Arnia area of city outskirts.
According to a police spokesman, the deceased identified as Kamal Kumar (45) son of Harbans Lal, resident of Banote (RS Pura), yesterday visited his in-laws’ house in village Rathana falling under the jurisdiction of police station Arnia to bring his wife, who were living there for last 10-15 days following some dispute between them, back to his home.
“However, the man was found dead this morning on roof top of his in-laws’ house”, the spokesman said, adding, prima facie it appears that the man died due to alleged intake of some poisonous substance.
He said that after conducting post mortem at Sub District Hospital (SDH) RS Pura, the body of the deceased was handed over to his legal heirs for last rites.
