KATHUA, June 19: The people of Bani tehsil under the banner of Phari Culture Manch, Bani led by Pawan Chuhan its president organized a one day protest march at Bani against announcement made by Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti to create posts of ADCs at Basohli and Billawer which is neither genuine and nor justified.
Pawan Chuhan while addressing protestors said the distance of Billawer to Kathua is about two hours and Basohli to Kathua via Pathankot is about one and half hour while the distance of hilly area Bani Duggan Dhagger Bhandhar to Kathua is about seven hours. He stated that Chief Minister gave a step motherly treatment to the hilly areas.
In this regard a memorandum was also submitted to SDM Bani, Ajeet Singh to convey the grievances of the people to the higher authorities.
Chuhan said that the people of hilly and far flung areas demanded ADC post at Bani so that they may not suffer any more.
