Burglary case worked out, two arrested

JAMMU, June 19: Gangyal police under Operation Meghdoot solved a burglary case and arrested two persons along with stolen property.
As per police sources, a complaint was lodged by Pawan Kumar, son of Malkhi Ram of Sunderbani, an employee of M/s Sumita Gupta Wine Shop stating that some unidentified persons entered into the shop during the intervening night of April 28 and 29 this year and decamped with Rs 48,000 cash by breaking the rare window of the shop.
Acting over the complaint, a case under FIR Number 35/17 under Sections 457 and 380 RPC was registered at police station Gangyal and investigation started.
During the course of investigation, police picked up two suspects for questioning, who broke down and confessed to have committed the theft.
The accused have been identified as Gulshan Kumar, son of Rattan Lal of tehsil RS Pura and Tony Singh, son of Sukhdev Singh of District Gurdaspur, Punjab, at present Gangyal.
On their discloser, stolen cash worth Rs 15,000 has been recovered.
Further questioning of the accused is going on to ascertain their involvement in other theft case.
Police team led by SHO Gangyal SI Nayat Ali solved the burglary case and arrested the accused under the supervision SDPO South Mohammad Rafiq Manhas and SP Headquarters Jammu RC Kotwal.
