POONCH, June 18: A middle aged man hailing from Jhalas area of Poonch was drowned in a nallah near Noori Chhamb in Bafliaz area of Surankote today.
The police identified the deceased as 52-year-old Kali Dass, son of Lakhmi Dass, resident of village Jhalas near the LoC in Poonch. He had gone to the area for picnic and slipped into the mountainous nallah and then washed away and finally drowned.
The police party from Behramgalla reached the spot and then launched operation. His dead body was later fished out and then shifted to Surankote hospital. After performing legal formalities his body was later handed over to the family this evening.
